Chaos Tree LLC, based in California, has officially taken over from the now-defunct 7 Horns HK. Moving forward, the studio is committed to producing nostalgic, retro‑style films designed to entertain future generations—because, as they say, “we are all living museums.”
The studio’s first feature, «Hallucinations of War», has already drawn attention for its stark and unsettling portrait of a declining America. Set in rural Kentucky, the film follows Emily, a disturbed young woman who returns to her childhood home to confront the past. With her mother gone and her twin sister preparing to marry a mysterious Canadian doctor, Emily’s reality begins to unravel—leading to a dark and possibly satanic revelation. The film critiques the erosion of traditional family structures and explores themes of abandonment, trauma, and moral decay.
«Hallucinations of War» is now represented by Twin Engines Global and marks the beginning of Chaos Tree’s collaboration with Lil Baker Films.
Looking ahead, the studio is currently in production on its second feature, «Ivory Night at the Center of the Galaxy». Scheduled to premiere at the 2026 Cannes Marché du Film, this retro sci-fi comedy imagines a future where humans, now an endangered oddity, co-exist aboard a deep-space vessel ruled by AI. As social media metaphors play out among the stars, a group of influencers—played by Ivory Nightingale, Spencer Vaughn Kelly, and Hailee Lautenbach—must teach their AI overlords to laugh. If they fail, it could be the end of humanity. The film is choreographed by Victoria Baldesarra, with music by Megan McDuffee and Vella La Vella.
With «Hallucinations of War» gaining momentum and «Ivory Night at the Center of the Galaxy» poised to debut internationally, the studio is proving that retro storytelling can carry sharp, timely messages—and even point to the future.
Both of these movies may still be available for license or sub-license in Russia and the CIS.
