TV Tokyo Corporation will present the fantasy adventure anime series «Blue Dragon» to broadcasters, OTT platforms and content buyers from Kazakhstan and across Central Asia at World Content Market – Almaty 2026.

Originally launched as part of a cross-media project based on the popular video game franchise, «Blue Dragon» premiered on Japanese television in 2007. The 50-episode series features original character designs by legendary manga artist Akira Toriyama, best known as the creator of «Dragon Ball», while the soundtrack was composed by renowned video game composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Set in a fantasy world where warriors unleash powerful creatures from their own shadows, the story follows 16-year-old Shu and his friends Kluke and Jiro as they battle the evil King Nene, who seeks to conquer the world using the ancient power known as «Death Evolution.» Combining action, adventure and friendship, the series explores themes of courage, loyalty and the determination to protect others.

Produced entirely using digital animation technology, «Blue Dragon» combines fast-paced storytelling with imaginative world-building inspired by the original video game. Its distinctive visual style and memorable characters have made it a popular title among anime audiences worldwide.

TV Tokyo Corporation will present «Blue Dragon» and other titles during pre-arranged meetings with broadcasters, OTT platforms and content buyers at its stand at World Content Market – Almaty 2026.
