In the eleventh century, in northern Persia, Hassan Alsabbah gathered a loyal group of Ismailis known as the “Elfeda’yeen.” This fearless band intimidated anyone who opposed them, including kings and governors. They orchestrated the assassinations of several key figures of the time, becoming the first secret terrorist organization, later referred to as the “AlHashasheen/The Assasins.”
