China Day. World Content Market – Moscow

On 29th May 2024, at the World Content Market – Moscow, the only TV & digital content market in Russia (Event-hall “InfoSpace”, 1st Zachatievsky Lane, 4, Moscow), “CHINA DAY. China: where stories evolve”, a series of business events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, took place.

CHINA DAY was organized by the National Radio and Television Administration of China (NRTA) and the Wings Media /Shanghai Media Group and focused on discussing the prospects for developing cooperation between China and Russia in the field of television and digital media.

CHINA PAVILION (organized by NRTA and Wings Media /Shanghai Media Group) was the biggest on the market. With a 140M2 area, CHINA PAVILION united 14 Chinese companies that offered content of different genres for all audiences.  

The first part of the CHINA DAY included the Forum “New Opportunities for China-Russia Audiovisual Media Cooperation” which brought together representatives of leading government organizations, press, major TV Channels, production and distribution companies from China and Russia.

Yang Guorui, Vice Minister of the National Radio and Television Administration of China (NRTA) and Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation officially opened the Forum.

At the Forum, a signing ceremony of the project “Magnolia Time” between Chinese and Russian partners, in witness of the two counties’ governmental-authorities, was held. “Magnolia Time” is a commercial operation project jointly developed by Wings Media (China), SPB TV Media (Russia), and Vintera TV (Russia). It’s aimed to provide overseas broadcasting channels for more excellent Chinese content and strengthen mutual understanding and cultural exchange between the Chinese and Russian people by telling Chinese stories well.

  • Alexander Nikolaev – CEO, Vintera TV (Russia)
  • Dmitry Borisov – General Producer, Channel One Russia Worldwide (Russia)
  • Cao Yifei – Director of Overseas Business Department, CHNPEC, CITVC (China)
  • Ivan Grinin – Chief Content Officer, IVI (Russia)
  • Konstantin Vladimirov – Commercial Director, Media-Telecom (Russia)

The Forum followed up by the cocktail party and screenings of Chinese film “Taste of China”.

The second part of the CHINA DAY was dedicated to new content that Chinese exhibitors brought to the World Content Market – Moscow 2024.

After CHINA DAY events, participats met Chinease companies on stands in the CHINA PAVILION.
