World Content Market – Almaty 2026 concluded on 30 September after two busy days of B2B meetings, negotiations and content deals at Novotel Almaty City Center.

International sales companies met buyers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and across Central Asia to present new series, movies, animation, documentaries, microdramas and other content for television and digital platforms.

Throughout the two days, exhibitors’ stands were busy with meetings as buyers discussed new titles and available rights for their broadcasting schedules.

Among the participating buyers were senior executives from leading TV broadcasters across the region with a strong appetite for international content. These included ALMATY TV Channel, ASTANA TV, Channel Seven, First Channel “Eurasia”, Khabar Agency, TV and Radio Company “31 Channel”, NTK Channel, Commercial Television Channel, Kazakhstan RTRC (Republic of Kazakhstan), National Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic, National TV and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, MY5 TV, and more.

The market provided international sales companies with a platform to enter the region and build direct relationships with decision-makers across Central Asia. A millennium ago, traders crossed the Silk Road to barter textiles and spices. Today, with the help of World Content Market, international sales companies are tapping into the vast opportunities of Central Asia — only now, content is the commodity being bought and sold. For two days, World Content Market – Almaty turned the city into a working meeting point for the television and digital content business in Central Asia, with buyers and sellers doing negotiating and making deals.

In 2027, World Content Market will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The next markets will take place in Moscow and Almaty:
