TRT will present the new drama “Legend of the Black Tree” at the World Content Market – Moscow this November.

The story follows Celal Agha, the most powerful landlord of the Black Tree Plain in the 1950s, who expands his territory by force, eliminating resistance. Osman Agha, known for his justice and mercy, is the only one who dares to stand against him but is ultimately defeated. After Osman’s death, his pregnant wife Raziye faces a new danger: Celal Agha’s vow to take her life if she gives birth to a son. However, Celal Agha’s wife, Asiye, secretly switches their children, saving Raziye’s son and altering the fate of the Black Tree Plain. Years later, the region’s future hangs in the balance when Sultan, Osman Agha’s real daughter, returns to seek revenge—unaware of her true lineage.

The series is part of TRT’s larger strategy to push high-quality Turkish dramas globally.

The potential of “Legend of the Black Tree” for Russian audiences looks promising, especially given the historical and cultural themes the series explores. Russian viewers have shown strong interest in Turkish historical dramas, which feature similar themes of power struggles, family conflict, and societal change.

Buyers can discover this new title at TRT stand 7 at the World Content Market – Moscow.
