The Iranian animated film “The Last Fiction” is now available on the Russian OTT platform OKKO, offering exciting news for audiences interested in Iranian history.
Produced by Hoorakhsh Studios and directed by Ashkan Rahgozar, this feature-length animated film tells the story of Zahhak, an evil figure from Iranian mythology. It is a free adaptation of a tale from Iran’s classic literature. Spanning 120 minutes, the film explores Zahhak’s narrative and covers the events from the end of Jamshid’s reign to the beginning of Afaridoun’s reign, highlighting the influence of these two rulers from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh (Book of Kings).
