On 24th July, the Turkish romantic comedy series “Cherry Season” (“Kiraz Mevsimi”) premiered on Romantic TV Channel, part of the Tricolor holding in Russia.

Distributed by Calinos Entertainment, “Cherry Season” is a light-hearted story centered on love, rivalry and youthful emotions. The series follows Öykü, a kind-hearted and modest young woman who dreams of becoming a fashion designer. For years, she has secretly been in love with her childhood friend Mete, who remains unaware of her feelings.

When Mete falls for Öykü’s close friend Şeyma, she is left heartbroken. In an attempt to protect herself, Öykü pretends to be romantically involved with Ayaz, a wealthy and charismatic architect. What begins as a simple lie quickly turns into a playful and complicated relationship.

Blending romance, humor and emotional tension, the series explores whether a relationship built on pretense can evolve into genuine love. With its relatable characters and engaging storyline, “Cherry Season” continues to appeal to audiences seeking light, character-driven romantic drama.

The launch of the series further strengthens the presence of Turkish content on Russian thematic channels, where romantic drama remains a key driver of audience engagement.
