Kyrgyz TV channel Nomad TV has acquired the rights to the international children’s singing competition «You Are Super!». The local adaptation, titled «You Are Super! Kyrgyzstan», is set to premiere this autumn.
The competition is open to talented children in Kyrgyzstan aged 7 to 18 who have faced difficult life circumstances and may not always have the opportunity to showcase their talent. It also welcomes participants whose stories reflect resilience and a strong determination to pursue their dreams. The project team will support young performers and help them gain national recognition.
The international singing competition «You Are Super!», dedicated to children without parental care, has been airing on NTV since 2017. Over the past nine years, more than 600 participants from 18 countries have taken part in the show. Each of them has faced personal challenges, yet all have maintained belief in themselves and their dreams.
The project offers participants not only a platform to perform, but also opportunities to build friendships, develop their skills, and receive guidance from leading Russian music professionals and popular artists. Many participants have gone on to enroll in music universities and colleges, as well as perform at major national and international competitions and festivals, including Junior Eurovision, New Wave Junior, Good Wave, Spasskaya Tower, Operenie, and others.
The impact of the project extends beyond the stage: eight children have found families, and 16 contestants have been provided with housing. The «You Are Super!» charitable foundation also supports participants by providing scholarships to all semi-finalists and finalists until they reach adulthood.
The project has received 27 awards from prestigious industry competitions, including TEFI and TEFI Kids.
