National Media Group (NMG) and Shidao Technology Park, part of Shenzhen — one of the world’s largest technology hubs — signed a strategic partnership agreement on May 19 to collaborate on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and the technological transformation of the media industry. The agreement outlines a cooperation model between NMG and leading Chinese technology companies, focused on the transfer of advanced AI solutions to Russia, their scaling within the holding’s ecosystem, and the commercialization of new digital products.
A pilot project is being implemented in partnership with global technology leaders based in Shidao Technology Park. These companies specialize in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. As part of the program, NMG will deploy generative AI solutions for the production of short-form series and advertising content, followed by joint refinement and localization for the Russian market. The partnership model is designed to accelerate digital transformation processes, integrate AI solutions, and improve efficiency across the value chain — from implementation to monetization.
Under the agreement, NMG plans to establish a regional office in China within the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (Pingshan District, Shidao Film and Technology Park), where many major Chinese technology companies are headquartered. The office will focus on co-production models and the joint development and deployment of AI-driven solutions for media, film, and advertising industries.
