On 14 April 2026, as part of the conference program at World Content Market – Moscow 2026, a session titled «Global TV Trends 2026: What Awaits Us Tomorrow?» brought together industry professionals to discuss the future of television.

The session was led by Alexey Korlyakov, Head of Format Acquisitions and Research at TNT, who addressed major structural shifts shaping the global television landscape.

The discussion focused on key industry questions, including the future of linear broadcasting and whether traditional TV still has a place alongside rapidly growing digital platforms. Particular attention was given to how broadcasters are working with younger audiences and whether these strategies are effective.

The session also explored the ongoing democratization of content production, raising questions about the changing role of traditional industry players in an environment where content creation tools are becoming widely accessible.

Another key topic was the emergence of next-generation content, with examples of new formats and storytelling approaches that are gaining traction across global markets.

Special focus was placed on the growing dominance of YouTube, which was described as a central platform shaping viewing habits worldwide. The discussion highlighted how both digital-native creators and traditional media companies are increasingly producing content specifically for YouTube.

The session reflected the ongoing transformation of the television industry, where traditional and digital models continue to evolve and coexist.
