Ahead of World Content Market – Moscow 2026, we asked Beijing Filmtag Technology Development (China) about their content offering and business objectives for the market.
— What content are you bringing to World Content Market – Moscow this year?
Filmtag Technology brings the film Forced Police Unit, which focuses on the life-and-death moments faced by Chinese peacekeeping police, with lead actors Wang Yibo and Huang Jingyu safeguarding the frontlines of peace. Leading actor Wang Yibo has a broad international fan base, and his performance is expected to boost the film’s international influence and distribution potential.
In addition, our company brings more content genres popular with local audiences, including long-form series, mini-series, micro-dramas (vertical), feature films, and web-based films.
— Which titles do you believe will resonate most with buyers in Russia and the CIS?
Buyers from Russia and the CIS have begun viewing Chinese films in a new light. In the past, they were drawn to Jackie Chan’s films, Hong Kong action films, and wuxia films, but now audiences are discovering a wider variety of content. The audience for series is young and energetic, especially for shows featuring idols with an established fan base. Audiences pour their enthusiasm into these series and crave a deeper emotional connection with them. At the same time, we have also noticed that vertical micro-dramas and AIGC content are gaining popularity in Russia and CIS countries.

— What are your main business objectives at the market?
Filmtag Technology has successfully distributed the TV series The Three-Body (Tencent version), as well as the films Born to Fly, High Forces, and I Am T-Rex in Russia over the past years. In 2026, our company plans to continue expanding its presence in the Russian market by bringing more content genres popular with local audiences, including long-form series, mini-series, micro-dramas, feature films, and web-based films. At the same time, Filmtag Technology plans to introduce China’s most popular and trending AIGC content to Russia, reaching out to local IP rights holders, production companies, online platforms, technology firms, and distributors to establish diverse forms of collaboration, including joint IP development, co-productions, content distribution, franchising, and merchandise.
