Turkish drama is expected to rank high on the shopping list for Russian buyers at World Content Market – Moscow, as TV broadcasters and OTT platforms continue to look for proven, audience-friendly scripted content that can perform well in Russia.

Over the past few years, Turkish series have maintained a strong presence in Russia’s viewing ecosystem thanks to familiar storytelling, clear genre positioning, and long episode runs that suit both daily programming and binge viewing. For many buyers, Turkish titles also offer practical advantages: they are relatively easy to package for different windows, can be scheduled flexibly, and often deliver consistent engagement in romance-led and family-oriented genres.

The April market will bring a concentrated Turkish seller presence to Moscow, creating a single meeting point for Russian channels, streamers, and regional distributors to review new slates, revisit ongoing negotiations, and explore fresh rights opportunities. Turkish exhibitors taking part include Atlas Küresel Medya, Calinos Entertainment, Global Agency, Kanal D International, MediaHub, and Raya Group Distribution.

With acquisition strategies increasingly shaped by retention and catalog depth, Turkish content remains a category many Russian buyers view as both commercially reliable and scalable—making it a recurring point of focus when international sellers and local decision-makers meet in person.
