Russian streaming service START has reported its results for 2025, citing strong growth in paid subscribers, a new partner subscription model, and a sharp increase in revenue.
The company said early 2025 marked a turning point with the launch of a partner subscription offered in collaboration with Kinopoisk, IVI, Okko, Wink, Premier and KION. START also linked this launch to a strategic shift away from licensing out its in-house original series.
Over the past year, START’s total number of paid subscribers grew 2.7x to 9 million, according to the service. Revenue for the year reached 11.5 billion rubles, representing a 68% increase.
