Held during the World Content Market – Moscow in November, the Beijing Film Promotion Conference presented an exclusive showcase of top Chinese films. Organized by the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), the event featured a curated selection of titles celebrated for their genre variety, visual excellence, and compelling storytelling — all tailored to resonate with Russian audiences.
Speakers included representatives from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Russian Federation and the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, who delivered welcome addresses and shared insights into future cultural collaboration between China and Russia.

A special highlight of the conference was a presentation by renowned director Zhang Qi, who introduced his new film “The Great Wind Strike.” The event concluded with a toast and a networking session featuring refreshments — providing attendees a valuable opportunity to engage directly with representatives of China’s entertainment industry.
With growing demand and mutual interest, more Chinese films are expected to appear in Russian cinemas very soon.
