Wink.ru Launches Vertical Mobile Series for On-the-Go Viewing

Russian OTT platform Wink.ru has introduced a new content category — “Stories”, featuring vertical-format series created specifically for mobile viewing. Designed for busy users constantly on their phones, the short episodes — just 1 to 3 minutes long — are perfect for quick breaks: a metro ride, a red light, or waiting in line.

Each series can include 60 to 100+ episodes, with every episode delivering a compact, high-intensity narrative filled with twists and drama. The content is optimized for swiping navigation, allowing viewers to quickly jump between episodes or explore different titles. Upon entering the section, the first episode starts playing automatically — pulling users instantly into the story.

Currently, the “Stories” section features 44 series with bold, eye-catching titles. Storylines focus on relatable, emotionally charged themes: love, betrayal, revenge, honor, and ambition — timeless topics with endless variations.

The new section builds on a mobile storytelling strategy launched by National Media Group (NMG) in April 2025, when it began testing the standalone Stories app. Now, its features and content have been integrated into Wink.ru — a joint venture between Rostelecom and NMG — as both companies continue developing short-form, vertical video entertainment for a new generation of viewers.
