As to the data of Gazprom-Media Holding, the company has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Beijing Cool Whale Film and Television Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd (Kujing).
The agreement covers the joint creation of original professional content aimed at promoting tourism and territorial marketing for audiences in China and Russia, with further plans for international distribution. Priority areas include the production of documentary and feature films, television series, and content for digital platforms.
The partners will also develop distribution of finished content through the exchange and mutual promotion of their existing libraries of films, series, and documentaries. A key component of the cooperation is the exchange of catalogs, followed by extensive localization, including dubbing and adaptation.
Gazprom-Media CEO Alexander Zharov underlined that international film production with China is a strategic priority for the holding: “I am confident that our joint work will result in media projects that will be in demand not only in Russia and China, but far beyond our countries.”
Wang Feng noted that the partnership brings together the creative and technological potential of both companies, enabling the production of content that will resonate with audiences in Russia, China, and other territories.
