The Turkish family romance drama “Can Bağı” made its Russian debut on OTT platform Ivi on 7th August — four days before its official premiere in Türkiye on 11 August. Distributed by Inter Medya, the series quickly drew attention for its emotional depth and gripping storyline.
“Can Bağı” follows Mahinur Aydın, a devoted mother facing life’s hardships and the controlling nature of her husband, as she cares for her ailing daughter Bade. Her path crosses with Aras Yılmazer, a wealthy hospital chain owner, when a decades-old hospital error comes to light: Mahinur’s daughter and Aras’s daughter were accidentally switched at birth. With Bade’s life in danger, Mahinur seeks Aras’s help, setting off a series of revelations, conflicts, and unexpected emotional bonds.
Directed by Canan Çelik and starring Ergül Miray Şahin, Ali Yağız Durmuş, Buket Dereoğlu, Ufuk Kaplan, Erdem Yılmaz, Hakan Dinçkol, and others, “Can Bağı” offers 125 planned episodes of 45 minutes each, produced in HD.
The early Russian premiere gave local audiences the first look at this highly anticipated drama, making “Can Bağı” one of the rare Turkish series to debut abroad before its home country release.
