News for fans of Indian romantic films! “Heartbeat 2” (Dhadak 2) has been in Russian cinemas since 1st August. The sequel to the successful 2018 film was released by Indian Films in the original language with Russian subtitles.
The film tells the story of forbidden love between two law students, Nilesh and Vidhi, who belong to different castes. Their relationship unfolds against the backdrop of social discrimination and long-standing taboos that still persist in Indian society.
Critics have compared the drama’s emotional tension to “Romeo + Juliet” and its scale to “Titanic.” The film was produced by Karan Johar, the creator of such hits as “My Name Is Khan” and “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.” Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri, “Heartbeat 2” also features an original score by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, with cinematography by Sylvester Fonseca.
