According to research company ICMR («GfK-Rus», formerly GfK), 53% of residents of Russian cities used online cinema subscriptions in the second quarter of 2025, with 40% holding a paid subscription.
Compared to the previous quarter, the change is minimal — both in the total share of urban users (54% in January–March versus 53% in April–June) and in the share of paying subscribers (41% in the first quarter versus 40% in the second). The slight drop is attributed to seasonal factors, as from late spring to early autumn, online cinemas significantly reduce the release of major premieres.
Kinopoisk once again ranked first in both the total number of subscribers (22%) and the share of paying subscribers (19%). Okko retained second place in overall subscriber numbers (13% of urban residents) and also overtook Wink in the share of paying subscribers (9% versus 8%, respectively).
