On 6th August, Russian viewers were the first in the world to witness the dramatic finale of the Turkish series “Leyla” — several days before its official broadcast in Turkey. The highly anticipated episode premiered on IVI, one of Russia’s largest OTT platforms, and received an enthusiastic response from fans.
The final episode was streamed with simultaneous Russian translation by Sabina Gardashova. During the live broadcast, viewers took part in a quiz about the series and entered a giveaway to win autographs from Cemre Baysel, who played the lead role of Leyla.
“Leyla” tells the story of a girl who loses her mother early in life and is raised by a manipulative stepmother, Nur. After her father’s tragic death, Leyla is cast out and forced to survive in the slums. Over the years, she rises above her circumstances, becomes a successful chef, and returns to confront the woman who shattered her family.
In the final episodes, Leyla enters the wealthy Keroglu mansion as the personal chef of family patriarch Vedat. There, she faces her stepmother once again — now employed in the household and plotting against the family. As the characters race to uncover the truth behind an attempt on Vedat’s life, long-held secrets come to light.
The premiere on IVI offered fans not only early access but a truly immersive experience — a milestone moment for Turkish drama in Russia.
