Starting today, 11 July, “Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan” premieres in cinemas across Russia.

This touching romantic drama stars Vikrant Massey and introduces Shanaya Kapoor. Based on Ruskin Bond’s acclaimed short story “The Eyes Have It,” the film tells a beautifully understated love story between two visually impaired strangers whose chance meeting on a train leads to profound connection and emotional transformation.

Produced by Zee Studios, Mini Films, and Open Window Films, the 138-minute feature was filmed in scenic locations such as Mussoorie and Mumbai. Directed by Santosh Singh and written by Mansi Bagla, the film held its media launch in Mumbai on 9 July, where the strong on-screen chemistry between the leads drew attention from Bollywood insiders, including Shanaya’s parents, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor.

“Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan” will screen in Hindi with Russian subtitles. Brought to Russian screens by Indian Films, this premiere is part of a growing trend of high-quality Indian releases finding theatrical audiences abroad.
