On 10th April, the third day of the World Content Market – Moscow, the China Pavilion delegation stepped beyond the exhibition hall for a landmark cultural exchange. At the special invitation of Russian new media giant Wink, the Chinese delegation visited one of Moscow’s most iconic cultural landmarks — the Khudozhestvenny Theater, a historic art cinema with a legacy stretching back to 1909. Located in the heart of the city, this century-old venue has stood witness to the great tides of history, from the October Revolution to the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and remains one of the oldest continuously operating cinemas in the world. Beneath its weathered dome, every flicker of light evokes a sense of historical depth.
Alexander Kosarim, Content Director of Wink Group and CEO of Media-Telecom, personally welcomed the China Pavilion delegation. Upon receiving a silk scroll painting of China’s beloved national treasure – the panda – Kosarim was visibly moved. “The panda is my favorite animal,” he shared. “This precious gift will be displayed in my office as a lasting symbol of China-Russia cultural exchange. Wink values our partnership with Chinese content providers and is committed to building deeper strategic alliances with leading Chinese media enterprises. We see tremendous potential in the Chinese market.”
The visit continued with a productive business meeting held in the artistic setting of the theater’s screening hall. Representatives from the China Pavilion and Wink’s Media-Telecom international team engaged in an in-depth dialogue covering audiovisual content cooperation and market resource sharing. The conversation also sparked creative ideas fueled by a shared commitment to cultural exchange and innovation.
Konstantin Vladimirov, Commercial Director of Media-Telecom, delivered an in-depth overview of Russia’s evolving new media landscape. He highlighted Wink’s business model, market advantages, and outlook for international collaboration. Vladimirov noted that Wink continues to pay close attention to high-quality Chinese content that resonates with audiences. The platform currently hosts over 500 Chinese titles — including films, TV series, and animations.

Notably, Vladimirov previously participated as a guest speaker in the 2024 China-Russia TV Forum at the World Content Market – Moscow. Reuniting with his Chinese partners, he expressed genuine enthusiasm: “It’s always heartwarming to see old friends. Encounters like this strengthen our confidence in deepening China-Russia media cooperation.”
Li Yang, Vice – General Manager of SMG Pictures & WingsMedia, representing the China Pavilion delegation, reflected on the significance of the meeting: “Thanks to Wink, we explored new opportunities for cooperation in the oldest cinema in Moscow. This venue is itself a vessel of storytelling — it naturally inspires creativity. China and Russia are highly complementary in areas such as content creation and digital media technology. Today’s exchange showed us even more possibilities for innovation”.
This meeting marked an important milestone in the international outreach of the China Pavilion — transitioning from traditional in-hall content presentations to rich, off-site cultural engagement. Anchored in audiovisual cooperation, China and Russia are building a bridge that spans culture, technology, and emotion, injecting fresh momentum into bilateral cultural collaboration.
With a series of successful business talks and cultural events concluded, the China Pavilion’s participation in the World Content Market – Moscow 2025 came to a close. It not only achieved practical results but also showcased the richness of China-Russia cultural exchange through new, innovative formats — setting a benchmark for future international audiovisual cooperation.
