On 9th April, during the “Fresh Content from China” conference at the World Content Market – Moscow, Zhang Chunlan, Head of International Business at Blue Fox Pictures, presented the romantic mystery drama “Cao Xuanxuan’s Love Journey” to Russian buyers.
The story unfolds as Zhou Na, a modern-day mystery novelist, finds herself unexpectedly transported to ancient Yan City, where she becomes the fiancée of county magistrate Guo Zi Jie. Together, they repeatedly solve bizarre cases. As their mutual affection deepens and their bond grows stronger, a sinister conspiracy involving life and death quietly emerges.
The project attracted strong interest at the Blue Fox Pictures stand in the China Pavilion, where Russian TV channels, OTT platforms, and distributors praised the series for its universal themes, high production values, and modern storytelling approach.
