On 9th April, during the “Fresh Content from China” conference at World Content Market – Moscow, Helen Song, Director of International Cooperation at Xixi Pictures, presented the studio’s new multi-episode drama “Six Sisters”.
Set in 1920s China, the story focuses on the lives of six sisters raised in an educated family. Against the backdrop of social upheaval, each of them chooses her own path—seeking love, freedom, education, rights, and independence. The series blends emotional depth, visual richness, and historical authenticity, offering a multifaceted portrait of women in a time of transformation.
Xixi Pictures’s stand, located in the China Pavilion, attracted strong interest from Russian content buyers. The company’s dramas have previously been acquired by Russian OTT platform IVI and found a dedicated audience in the region.
