TRT will introduce its new drama series “Fatih: Sultan of Conquests” at the World Content Market – Moscow this November. Currently in production for release in 2024, the series (expected to be 50 episodes, 45 minutes each) is poised to captivate Russian audiences.

The series follows Mehmed, who ascended to the throne at just 21 years old, standing out among the candidates with his intelligence and leadership. His singular ambition is to conquer Constantinople, make it the Ottoman Empire’s capital, and transform the empire into a global power through reforms in education and justice. However, Mehmed’s progressive ideas are seen as dangerous by traditional Ottoman statesmen, sparking intense political struggles within his court. Mehmed’s marriage to Gülşah Hatun, daughter of the Karamanoğulları, further complicates matters as it ignites a rivalry with his first wife Bahar, a conflict his political enemies eagerly exploit. As Mehmed prepares to march on Constantinople, he survives an assassination attempt orchestrated by his new ally, Cavid, who is revealed to be working for the Byzantine emperor Constantine. Under Mehmed’s leadership, the Ottomans unite to face the Byzantine forces.

In addition to “Fatih: Sultan of Conquests”, TRT will showcase a rich content catalog including dramas, movies, documentaries, and kids’ content. Meetings will be held at stand 6 during the World Content Market – Moscow.
