After the successful launch of “Five: Thirty” (Khamsa w Nos) on the TV channel “Lovestory,” Tricolor, Russia’s largest direct-to-home provider with a lineup of over 200 TV channels, will introduce more Arabic series this autumn.
One of the series scheduled for broadcast in November is “Um Badila.” Released in 2021, the show follows the dramatic story of Amal, who searches for a surrogate mother for her son Khaled and his wife Zeina to help them conceive. Amal selects Neveen, a decision that dramatically alters Neveen’s life. This compelling drama series consists of 30 episodes and originally aired on the MBC 1 network, produced by AWS Productions. Directed by David Oryan and written by Nada Khalil, “Um Badila” is noted for its emotional depth and exploration of complex family dynamics.
With its engaging storyline, “Um Badila” is poised to attract a wide Russian audience on Tricolor, continuing the trend of successful Arabic series on the platform.
