Cong Li, Director of the Distribution Department at Shanghai Wingsmedia, presented the documentary series “A Green Trip” and the documentary film “Red Radio Over Shanghai” during China Day as part of the official program of the World Content Market – Moscow this spring.
SMG’s monumental 10-episode documentary series “A Green Trip” offers a profound exploration of the relationship between humans and nature. Three distinguished Chinese actors – Hu Ge, Liu Tao, and Chen Long – embark on solitary expeditions to witness China’s environmental preservation efforts across various landscapes, including mountains, oceans, virgin forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands, deserts, and urban areas.
“Red Radio Over Shanghai” is adapted from the true story of Li Bai, a secret agent for the Shanghai Underground Radio Station of the Communist Party of China during the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation Period.
SMG has maintained long-term relationships with Russian partners. Notably, SMG launched a collaborative project called “Magnolia Time” with Russian partners SPB TV Media and Vintera TV. This project is a dedicated zone within streaming services for Chinese content. More SMG dramas, documentaries, and variety shows are set to be released in Russia this year.
