CIRKINO, a young Kazakh company, presents its first project – the documentary film “17 Days”. The author of the idea and script is Valentina Pak, the director is Vladimir Khan.

Filming took place in 2021 in Kazakhstan – in Almaty, Kyzylorda, Kyzylzhar (former Dzerzhinskoye) in the Almaty region, and in Russia – in Moscow.

“17 Days” is a documentary film that captures the resilient spirit of Korean families forced to move to unfamiliar Kazakhstan in the 1930s.

In the center of the story are grandmother Valentina and her grandson Valera. Valera spent most of his life in England, and now it is his home, where he is immersed in a different language and culture. Traveling together, they overcome differences between generations and cultures.

For some, this story will tell how not to get lost in a huge world, how to find yourself, and for others, it will tell how you can love without expectations and edification.

17 Days’ haunting narrative promises to resonate with global audiences through its universal exploration of family values, self-discovery and unconditional love.

We welcome partnerships with international distributors, broadcasters and production companies to bring this story to audiences around the world.

We will also be happy to cooperate with other companies, including to work together on new projects and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
